A group of 18 cadets and officers will be travelling to London in September 2010 to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. One of the highlights of the trip will be the unveiling of a memorial to Sir Keith Park, a fellow New Zealander, who commanded 11 Group at the height of battle. In order to be selected, cadets were required to make a presentation on the Battle of Britain before a panel of officers and the President of the RNZAFA South Auckland Branch. All members of the group are now actively fundraising in order to raise the $80,000+ required to fund the costs of the trip. If you would like to support the group, please get in touch with the Squadron staff using the contact links below. We'll keep you updated on our progress here as we get closer to September. |
